How to get what you've never had
I was watching an inspirational/motivational YouTube video today and a quote popped up that I had never heard before and really hit me as a Truth.
To get what you've never had,
you must do what you've never done.
Yah, take a deep breath after you let that one sink in.
Really think about it and how it applies to goals you've had but never achieved:
Have you run out of ideas to try?
Have you not been persistent enough?
Were you inconsistent in the application of the steps?
Were you not willing to do something that could have helped you achieve it?

To get what you've never had,
you must do what you've never done.
Yah, take a deep breath after you let that one sink in.
Really think about it and how it applies to goals you've had but never achieved:
- losing weight/keeping it off
- stopping smoking
- starting a business
- making $50K (or whatever your ideal is) per year
- finding the partner of your dreams...
Have you run out of ideas to try?
Have you not been persistent enough?
Were you inconsistent in the application of the steps?
Were you not willing to do something that could have helped you achieve it?
- Keep looking for new resources from others who have achieved that same goal; there are so many models of success out there (books, internet). Just pick one that you seem to align with and follow it.
- Don't give up too early because things get hard or you get tired. Most people give up right before their breakthrough was about to happen.
- Inconsistent application is the destroyer of most great ideas and procedures; don't be wishy-washy with your actions. Along with persistence, consistency is key.
- Successful people are willing to do what unsuccessful people are not. What are you resisting doing (or letting go of doing)? What could happen if you did?
