Are we having fun yet?

"Life is too important to be taken seriously."

I read this quote once, though I can't remember who said it. It really hit home with me. I do tend to lean toward the serious side, and sometimes the "fun side" of life slips by me.

Are you so busy trying to "color inside the lines" and following all the rules to do things "right" to avoid mistakes or avoid not living up to others' expectations that you're missing out on enjoying the ability to relax, laugh, and do what makes YOU feel good?

If so, it's time to STOP! Learn to be a kid again and just have some fun.

Chew gum and blow bubbles with it. Jump in a puddle. Skip some rocks. Go see a kids' movie and don't bring a kid with you. Wear an outfit that doesn't match. Put colored shoelaces in your sneakers. Run through a sprinkler. Do some cartwheels. Ride a bike (and put trading cards on the spokes). What else can you think of that would rekindle the kid inside you?
